Cameron set out to create a characterful bathroom that would suit his two-bedroom terrace home, blending modern simplicity with traditional charm. The design features a minimal freestanding bath, a traditional Burlington Edwardian washbasin and stand, Crossman Sagatarious tapware and large walk-in shower with traditional ladder towel rail. These were beautifully paired with vertically laid handmade cottaged glazed tiles and a statement pendant light, adding a refined yet understated elegance.
To address the raised pipework beneath the original bath without the expense of major plumbing alterations, a step was cleverly introduced into the shower area. This not only concealed the pipework but also took advantage of the room’s high ceilings, adding depth and interest to the space.
For the flooring, Cameron chose Polyflor slip resistant sheet vinyl in ‘Oakland Parquet’, bringing warmth and sophistication while maintaining practicality. The walls were painted crisp white to complement the glazed tiles, featuring an olive green chimney breast to add a touch of drama and colour. The pendant light overhead provided a finishing flourish, completing the space with a look that’s both simple and decadent.
