Trem-Yr-Coed, St Fagans
Gareth and Steph had a bold vision: to transform their modest cloakroom into a captivating jewel box of a space. Vibrant colour was at the heart of their design brief—a fearless embrace of personality and energy. Rich, saturated hues now adorn the walls, creating a dramatic backdrop that instantly lifts the mood and sets the tone for the rest of the home.
A captivating jewel box of a space.
To elevate the space further, they chose brass fixtures and fittings, adding a sense of warmth, elegance, and timeless charm. These gleaming accents catch the light beautifully, offering contrast and depth against the vivid palette. From the tap to the towel rail, every detail was carefully selected to balance both function and flair.
Underfoot, wide-plan ash flooring grounds the room in natural sophistication. The pale grain of the timber brings in texture and softness, harmonising with the brass tones and amplifying the light in what could have been a dark, overlooked space. The choice of ash also introduces a subtle Scandinavian influence, adding a modern yet inviting feel.
What was once a purely practical nook is now an unforgettable statement—a cloakroom that surprises, delights, and leaves a lasting impression on every guest who steps inside.
